Imagine as an organisation puts service users at the centre of the services they provide. We value the experience and expertise that each individual service user can bring to Imagine’s work and would like to utilize this to improve delivery and quality of services.
Service users are involved in recruitment, and development of projects that Imagine are undertaking, and are paid a consultancy fee for their involvement, showing the value we place on this work.
Imagine is committed to service user participation across the organisation and a focal element of the role of Charlotte Davies, Service User Participation Lead, is to ensure that service users are listened to and valued equally in the running of all aspects of Imagine’s work. Charlotte also coordinates regular service user forums across the organisation.
Imagine believes the voice of the service user is integral to the success of our model of hope and recovery. We have just completed our first in-house Peer Support Worker training course for service users. Many of whom will demonstrate their new skills in permanent Peer Support Worker posts - currently being recruited.
